My new wrist-watch Swiss Military Hanowa

Got it at 8:00 am wasn’t expecting it for another five days or so. I’ve been without a swiss watch for a year now, since some idiot of a watch repairer fucked it up, he totally loused up the battery setting so I binned it in a pique of anger.

Sadly, I’ve subsequently found it would cost nearly a grand to replace it like for like, yet 25 years ago it cost me £100. Shows how inflation has gone bonkers. Mind you it’s not as bad as the platinum and gold, Oris watch that my mother gave me at 18 on her return from a couple of years in Zurich. I got pissed one night, slept in a ditch to find the watch missing the following morning. It was worth a few bob as I subsequently discovered.
